Mark's Message 2004
Hello again, another year has past and Christmas is once again here. It was a busy year, with GCSEs in the summer, then entering the sixth form and already we are being told to start deciding about university courses.
The holiday in Scotland was very enjoyable including climbing Ben Nevis, seeing Loch Ness, watching a practice day of the Open at Royal Troon and shooting my best round of golf, albeit on a fairly simple course.
In August, the wait for GCSE results ended and I was pleased to obtain 5A*s (3 Sciences, Maths, German), 4A’s (English!, Eng Lit!, History and RE) and 1C (PE). A satisfying result. I am now studying Double Maths, Computing, German and Physics but will probably drop German in the summer.
In early September, I went with the rest of the Lower Sixth to UEA near Norwich, which was very enjoyable and included helping to build a seven foot tower out of newspapers and sellotape which could support 4 oranges at the top.
I am much looking forward to spending Christmas on the Swiss slopes and a Merry Christmas to you all.
